ELIZABETHTOWN — Whiteville jumped out to a big lead early and had 10 players score Tuesday in a 55-20 rout of East Bladen in a Waccamaw Conference junior varsity basketball game.

The Eagles finished their season 6-6 in league play and 8-10 overall.

Corey Faison scored 11 points and Jamal Taylor added nine to lead the balanced Whiteville offense.

Ihon Thomas scored nine points to lead East Bladen

The Wolfpack held a 16-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, then blew it open in the third quarter when it outscored the Eagles 20-4.

The final six minutes was played with a running clock.
