ELIZABETHTOWN – Freshman Keyshawn Kemp ran for a pair of touchdowns to lead East Bladen to a 24-14 junior varsity football victory over Southeastern Athletic Conference foe Midway Wednesday night.

Kemp broke loose for a 30-yard touchdown run then added another scoring run. Jaylen Suggs banged into the end zone on another Eagle TD run. Gereal Maye carried into the end zone twice on 2-point conversion runs. Semaj McRae scored the other East Bladen conversion.

“All of my running backs ran real hard tonight and took care of the ball,” said Eagle Coach Cory Corbett. Torrean Cogdell intercepted a Midway pass to highlight the East Bladen defense effort.

The Eagles evened their overall record at 4-4 and are 3-1 against SAC-7 opponents.
