BLADENBORO – Sophomore Madison Taylor pitched a no-hitter and struck out 7 batters to lead West Bladen to a 12-2 Three Rivers Conference jayvee softball victory over St. Pauls Thursday.

Both Lady Bulldog runs were unearned. Taylor did not issue a walk and all 3 St. Pauls base-runners reached base on errors.

Sophomore Kaitlynn Brisson slammed 2 doubles, scored 3 times and had a run batted in, and Hannah Richardson batted 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a run scored to lead the West hitters. Violet Allen finished 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 runs scored.

Briley Stanley knocked in 3 runs with a pair of singles. Freshman Megan Pait belted a single, walked twice and scored twice. Taylor singled, scored twice and had 2 RBIs. Freshman Brookee Singletary walked twice and scored twice.

Brisson smashed a run-scoring double, and Richardson cracked an RBI single to highlight a 3-run West Bladen 1st inning. Taylor and Stanley delivered run-scoring singles in the Lady Knights’ 3-run, 5th inning. Stanley and Richardson both connected for 2-run singles in West Bladen’s 5-run, 6th inning.

Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights improved to 3-0-1 in conference play and 5-4-1 overall. They will host South Columbus Tuesday at 4 p.m.
