BLADENBORO – St. Pauls defeated West Bladen 2-0 Thursday in Three Rivers Conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-11 and 25-20.

Freshman Hannah Pait pounded in 8 kills, 2 aces and 3 solo blocks to lead the Lady Knights. Ashlyn Cox fired in 5 service points, 4 aces and 2 kills. Teammate Taylor West racked up 2 aces, 2 kills and 2 service points.

Freshman Lauren Pait knocked in 3 service points for West. Sophmore Alyssa Suggs slammed in 2 kills and a service point. Haleigh Fields drilled in 2 kills, Erica Storms added a service point, and Oliva Allen smacked in a kill.

“The girls played a great second set and fought hard,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “They just came up short.”

The Lady Knights, now 2-4 in league play and 3-5 overall, will travel to South Columbus Tuesday.
