BLADENBORO – St. Pauls edged West Bladen 15-13 in the deciding set to claim a 3-2 Three Rivers Conference volleyball victory Thursday night by set scores of 21-25, 25-8, 23-25, 25-19 and 15-13.

Lady Knght senior Raegan Davis hammered in 23 kills, 14 service points and 2 aces and was credited with 11 assists, 5 solo blocks and a dig. Junior Mikayla Meadows pounded in 12 kills, an ace, a service point and a solo block.

Junior Lexie Corrothers knocked in 6 kills, 2 aces and 2 service points and collected an assist and a dig for West. Sophmore Shelby Pharr slammed in 5 kills and 6 service points. Sophmore Sidnee Walters fired in 7 service points, 2 aces and 2 kills and had one dig.

Senior Caroline Davis led the Lady Knight defense with 15 digs and had one kill. Junior Jordan Benson dished out 10 assists and contributed 2 kills, 2 digs and a service point. Junior Tatiana Hunt totaled 8 digs for West Bladen, and senior Callie Lewis drilled in 2 kills.

“It was a tough game,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis. “We made some crucial mistakes at crucial times, but the girls kept fighting. I can’t ask for more than that.”

The Lady Knights, now 4-3 in league play and 5-4 overall, will travel to South Columbus Tuesday.
