ROCKY POINT – West Bladen’s jayvees swept Heide Trask 2-0 Thursday in Four County Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-22 and 25-19.
Sophmore Callie Lewis slammed in 7 kills, 4 aces, 7 service points and a block assist to lead the Lady Knights. Junior Elizabeth Allbright fired in 6 kills, 3 aces and 4 service points.
Mikayla Winebarger loaded up the stat sheet for West Bladen with 3 aces, 3 kills, a block, a service point and a block assist. Sophmore Brinkley Collier knocked in 2 kills and 2 service points.
Freshmen Jordan Benson and Lexie Corrothers hammered in one kill each for the Lady Knights, and Alise Pait tallied one service point.
“The team played excellent,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis. “They have worked hard to reduce little mistakes. I am proud of all of them.”
The Lady Knight jayvees evened their conference mark at 1-1 and are 3-5 overall. West Bladen will travel to Pender Tuesday for a 4:30 match.
