ST PAULS – West Bladen blitzed St Pauls 25-5 in the opening set then won the 2nd set 25-12 to run the Lady Knight jayvees’ winning streak to 4 in a row with a 2-0 Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball victory Tuesday.

Sophomore Marlie Walters lit up the scoreboard with 20 service points that included 9 aces for the winners. Sophomore Marlene Crabtree and Kierra Lewis pounded in 4 kills each. Freshman Kali Allen handed out 2 assists and tallied 3 service points and 1 ace.

Freshman Natalee Sykes belted in 5 service points that included 2 aces and had 2 assists and a kill for West. Freshman Brenna Hester knocked in 5 service points that included 2 aces. Freshman Makenna Thurman drilled in 2 aces.

Emme Bryant swatted in 2 service points and a kill for the Lady Knights. Tah’lea Bethea slammed in 2 kills, and Helaina Conklin added 1 kill.

Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights improved to 4-1 in SAC-7 play and 7-5 overall and will host Midway Thursday.
