ST PAULS – St Pauls captured the pivotal 3rd set and went on to defeat West Bladen 3-1 Tuesday night in Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-13, 22-25, 25-20 and 25-12.
Senior Makayla Wright blasted in 8 kills and 10 service points that included 2 aces to lead the Lady Knights. Senior Emily Young filled up the stat columns with 5 service points, 4 kills, 5 assists, a block and a dig.
Junior Trinity Meares banged in 2 kills, 1 ace, 3 other service points and a block for West. Junior Maddie Walters slammed in 3 kills, 1 ace and had 1 dig. Senior Kylie Durden chalked 3 service points, 1 ace and 3 digs.
Junior Jenna McLean spiked in 2 kills and had 2 service points and 1 assist for the Lady Knights. Senior Kaitlyn Brisson finished with 2 blocks, a kill and a dig. Sophomore Alina Chavez swatted in 2 kills and had a dig. Senior Whitney McLean added a block.
West Bladen, now 1-4 in SAC-7 play and 3-9 overall, will host undefeated Midway Thursday night.
