CERRO GORDO– Junior Jake Evans fired in a ‘Hat Trick’ plus one of 4 goals Monday night to lead East Bladen to a 10-1 Three Rivers Conference men’s soccer victory over West Columbus.

The victory avenged the Eagles only loss of the season – a shoot-out loss to the Vikings on September 28th.

Monday night the Eagles raced to a 7-1 first half lead and ended the game on the mercy rule in the 70th minute of play.

Senior Greyson Heustess racked up 4 assists and banged in 2 goals for the winners. Junior Jay McGill blasted in 2 goals and dished out an assist. Senior Pierce Melvin distributed 2 assists and tallied one goal for the Eagles.

Senior Keshaun Davis was credited with 2 assists, and Evans and sophmore Garrett Melvin added one assist each. Junior Gabe Barber knocked in the other Eagle goal.

Sophmore Jacob Priest collected 5 saves in goal for East Bladen.

The Eagles currently lead the TRC with a 9-1 record and are 13-1-2 overall. Coach Jay Raynor’s team will host second-place Whiteville Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Coach Jay Raynor has announced that it will be Youth Night and Senior Night on Wednesday.

All youth soccer players will be admitted free of charge if they wear their soccer jersey and are accompanied by an adult.
