HARRELLS– Vera Valentiner keyed a 6-1 Emereau Bladen 3rd quarter spurt that opened up a 16-8 lead, and the Lady Aviators held on for a 26-20 middle school girls’ basketball victory over Harrells Christian Monday.
Valentiner finished with 11 points to lead the Emereau scoring. Teammate Anna Robinson tallied 4 of her 6 points in the final period to help keep the winners on top. Bristol Allen added 4 points for the Lady Aviators.
Breelyn Peed rang up 9 of her game-high 12 points for Harrells in the final period. Teammate Scarlett Graham scored 4 points.
The Lady Aviators, now 2-2, will host Sampson Middle Thursday.
