Southeastern Community College with a trio of Bladenboro natives and West Bladen grads in the starting line-up swept a double-header from visiting Florence-Darlington Tech Friday by scores of 6-2 and 6-3.

Abbey Walters fired a one-hitter and struck out ten batters to lead the Lady Rams to the 6-2 win in the opener. Both of the Florence-Darlington runs were unearned.

At the plate Walters blasted a home run, knocked in 3 runs, walked twice and stole a base. Robin Coleman cracked a single in 3 at-bats for the Lady Rams.

Coleman started in the circle in the second game and allowed 2 unearned runs on 4 hits and a walk in her 4 innings of work. The Bladenboro sophomore struck out one and was credited with the win.

Walters came on to pitch the final 3 innings and allowed one unearned run on a hit and 2 walks, while striking out three.

 Kaitlyn Sykes who caught the first-game victory was the designated player for the Lady Rams in Game 2 and batted 2-3 with a run-batted-in and a run scored.

The two victories evened the SCC Region 10 record at 7-7. The Lady Rams are 12-14 overall.
