Kayla Thompson, after a successful fourth place finish in the Hot Springs Championship, shot 84-78=162 in a U.S. Women’s Open Championship qualifier Tuesday at Mid Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines.
Thompson’s next tournament is the Central Arkansas Open scheduled May 12-14 in Conway, Arkansas.
Thompson is a graduate of West Bladen High School and UNC Wilmington.
