East Bladen’s Lady Eagles stretched their Four County Conference volleyball winning streak to six with a 3-0 victory over visiting Heide Trask Thursday night by set scores of 25-23, 30-28 and 25-17.
Junior Lexie Mendell hammered in 14 kills, 7 service points, an ace and 2 blocks for the Lady Eagles. Senior Miller Heustess dished out 17 assists and knocked in 6 service points, 2 kills and an ace.
Sophomore Hannah DeVane racked up 11 service points, an ace and 5 kills for the winners. Senior Lacey Suggs slammed in 6 kills, 9 service points, an ace and had 2 assists.
Senior Claire Campbell fired in 5 service points, 2 aces and 3 kills and had 4 assists for East. Senior Abby Ward chipped in with a pair of service points.
Junior Anna Grace Long pounded in 4 kills for East Bladen, and freshman Ashley Hardin added an assist.
Coach Jennifer Hair’s Lady Eagles improved their league record to 7-4 and their overall mark to 10-7. East Bladen will travel to Wallace-Rose Hill Tuesday.
