BLADENBORO- West Bladen swept all 3 sets from West Columbus Tuesday night by set scores of 25-9, 25-8 and 25-14 in non-conference volleyball action.

Sophomore Natalee Sykes filled up the stat sheet for West with 8 aces, 3 other service points, 3 kills, 6 assists and 5 attacks. Freshman Greer Pope fired in 9 service points including 4 aces and added 5 assists, 3 kills and 6 attacks.

Senior Maddie Walters poured in 12 service points including 5 aces, a kill and had 6 attacks and a dig for the winners. Senior Jenna McLean drilled in 7 service points including 2 aces, a kill and had 2 attacks and a dig. Junior Marlene Crabtree blistered the court with 5 aces, 2 other service points, a kill and had 5 attacks.

Lady Knight senior Trinity Meares hammered in 4 kills and had 6 attacks. Junior Alina Chavez banged in 3 blocks, a kill, 2 aces, another service point and had 6 attacks and a dig. Junior Marlie Walters knocked in 2 kills, an ace, another service point and had 5 attacks.

Junior Holland Davis and sophomore Jaylyn Clark pounded in 2 kills each. Davis smashed in a pair of aces and had 4 attacks. Clark had 3 attacks, and senior Kiera Lewis had 2 attacks.

Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights evened their record at 1-1 and will travel to rival East Bladen Thursday.
