BLADENBORO –Maycee Kinlaw pitched a 1-hitter and struck out 7 batters as Bladenboro defeated Tar Heel 21-1 Wednesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball action.

Coach Hayley Baxley’s Lady Bulldogs evened their record at 1-1 and will travel to Tabor City Monday. Tar Heel will host West Columbus Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs capitalized on 11 walks, 7 hit batters and 3 errors along with their 7 hits. Bladenboro scored 12 runs in the 1st inning and 9 runs in the 2nd inning.

Allison Hickman and Alyssia Singletary both batted 2-2. Both of them walked and scored 2 runs each to lead the Lady Bulldog hitters. Chloe Walters walloped a triple, walked 3 times and scored 3 runs. Addison Wilcox singled, walked, was hit by a pitch and scored 3 runs. Brooklynn McKee singled, was hit by pitches twice and scored 3 runs.

Kinlaw walked 3 times and scored 2 runs. Hadley Dove was hit by pitches 3 times and scored 2 runs. Caity McLaurin walked, reached on an error and scored twice. Adyson Carroll walked, reached on an error and scored a run. Kylee Davenport was hit by a pitch and scored a run.

Abigail Dew walked and scored a 1st inning run for Tar Heel. Ashley Solis-Sandoval belted a single for the lone Lady Panther hit, and Arianna McKiver also drew a walk.
