West Bladen won a 1st round baseball playoff game over Heide Trask before being eliminated in the 2nd round at East Carteret.

Seven Bladen Athletes Named All-Conference Baseball

Both East Bladen and West Bladen were eliminated in the opening round of the softball playoffs, but both teams claimed conference wins in the opening weeks of May.

East Bladen’s girls’ soccer team reeled off 10 straight wins to reach the 3rd round of the playoffs before falling to powerful Franklin Academy. The Lady Eagles finished with a 15-4-1 record.

West Bladen’s girls’ soccer team shut out Pender for their 7th win and made the playoffs, but were eliminated by Clinton in the opening round.

West Bladen’s Lady Knights 4×200 relay team finished 14th in the state championship meet. The Lady Knights captured the Southeastern Athletic Conference girls’ team championship. The Knight boys placed 3rd in the SAC-7 meet.

A Bladen father-son duo qualified for the Spartan world championships. A Live Oak man won 3 events at the Senior Games, and an Elizabethtown native won a CIAA sports award.

The SAC All-Conference golf team was announced. East Bladen and West Bladen presented their school sports awards, and several county middle schools presented their athletic awards. Conner Brisson was named academic all-district at UNC-Pembroke.
