June opened with the Whack Smack it Schultz Memorial Golf Tournament that served as a time of remembrance as well as a fund raiser for the East Bladen/West Bladen athletic programs and Dixie Youth Baseball.

All-Southeastern Athletic Conference softball and girls’ soccer teams were released. West Bladen’s Rylee Chadwick was named Player of the Year in softball. East Bladen’s Heidi Rebollar received All-State recognition in soccer and headlined a group of Bladen athletes who were named All-Region soccer.

The Force won Bladen Recreation’s 11-13 Softball League. The Diamondbacks won the Elizabethtown Coach-Pitch League.regular season, and the Pirates won the Coach-Pitch Tournement. The Cardinals won the Minors regular season, and the Twins won the Minors Tournament. The Cubs won a playoff game for the Elizabethtown regular season title with the Braves. Clarkton Blue won the Bladen County Coach-Pitch championship.
