Arthur Dewitt Blanks, Sr. August 23, 1946-December 4, 2019 (age 73) Arthur Dewitt Blanks, Sr., age 73 Clarkton, NC passed away on Wednesday, the 4th of December 2019 after a lengthy illness. Born in Bladen County, NC on the 23rd of August 1946. He was the son of the late Dewitt and Bennie Campbell Blanks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2008, Edith Lucille Webb Blanks and a brother, O’Neil Blanks. Arthur was a US Army veteran and served in the Vietnam war. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially deer and rabbit hunting. Survivors include three sons, Arthur D. Blanks, Jr., (Marie), Willie “Pete” Webb (Candice), William “Tony” Webb all of Clarkton NC; a daughter, Annie Webb Smith (Mickiel) of Jonesboro, GA; three sisters, Stella George (Richard), Curlie Baldwin (Daniel), Sandy Blanks of Clarkton, NC; six grandchildren, Britton, C.J., Tia, Amia, Aliana, and Kamaryn. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, the December 2019 at the Rehobeth AME Zion Church, Clarkton, NC. Burial will follow in the Mitchellfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday the 9th of December 2019 at the Union Funeral Home, 571 West South Railroad Street, Clarkton, NC. Union Funeral Home, Clarkton, NC.
